The pension bill sponsored by the Kitui Central MP lays bare his greedy instincts. While Kenyans choke under taxes, joblessness, and failing services, his priority was clear: fast-tracking pensions and soft landings for MPs a privileged few already swimming in benefits.
This greed is not new. When he was handed the SHA opportunity, he didn’t think of the many desperate, qualified youths in Kitui Central. He thought of only one person his son, already earning hundreds of thousands. That single act exposes a mindset that treats public opportunities as family property.
Now imagine that mentality at the governor’s office.
A man who legislates for himself will govern for himself.
One who prioritises his son and his pension in Parliament will prioritise the same in county government. Electing him governor would not be leadership it would be a catastrophic mistake.
Kitui deserves servant leadership, not institutionalised greed.
