Kamba gospel artist Stephen Kasolo has stirred political excitement after sharing two posters suggesting he may contest for the Mulango Ward MCA seat in the 2027 General Election
Kasolo on Thursday posted two contrasting campaign-style graphics on his social media platforms one branded in Wiper Party colours and symbols, and another in the signature yellow and green of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). The move immediately triggered debate among fans and supporters, many of whom encouraged him to “go for it” and take a shot at elective leadership.
This is not the first time the popular musician has flirted with politics. Kasolo has previously hinted at interest in public office and has on several occasions been linked to local political mobilisation efforts in Kitui County.
His latest teaser has now revived speculation about his political ambitions, although he has yet to issue an official statement declaring his candidature or party of choice.
If he proceeds, Kasolo would join a growing list of entertainers entering elective politics ahead of 2027, adding a new dynamic to the Mulango Ward race.
