Kimangao Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kyuso Ward, Mwingi North, has received a grant to boost its table banking activities, thanks to the support of Kitui Women Representative and Governor hopeful Dr. Irene Kasalu.

In addition to the financial boost, the group was also issued with its official registration certificate, a crucial step that formalizes its operations and opens doors to more development opportunities and partnerships. The support is expected to strengthen savings and lending among members, enhance small businesses, and improve household livelihoods across the community.

Speaking during the issuance of the grant and certificate, Dr. Kasalu reaffirmed her commitment to empowering grassroots groups as a foundation for sustainable development.

“I will continue to walk hand in hand with all groups, ensuring every community organization gets the support, recognition, and resources needed to grow,” she said.

The gesture underscores the growing focus on strengthening locally driven financial initiatives as a pathway to economic empowerment and community self-reliance in Kitui County.

Together, we build stronger, self-reliant communities.
