CHURCH LEADERS ENDORSE IRENE KASALU FOR KITUI GOVERNOR SEAT

Church leaders in Kitui County have formally endorsed Kitui Woman Representative Hon. Irene Kasalu in her bid for the 2027 gubernatorial seat.Speaking during a Sunday service, Bishop Kimolo of The Potters Church urged congregants to rally behind Kasalu, citing her strong credentials and proven integrity. Bishop Kimolo revealed that he has known Kasalu since her childhood and can personally vouch for her character and leadership. He noted that Kasalu brings to the table a clean, corruption-free record, a strong educational background, and a development-oriented mindset that positions her as the ideal leader for Kitui’s next phase of growth.

He further praised Kasalu for her approachability and humility, qualities he said are essential for a governor who truly listens to the needs of the people. In his remarks, the bishop reminded Kitui residents to “carry their brains to the polling stations in 2027,” urging them to vote based on informed choices rather than emotions or the temptation of small bribes often issued on election day. Kasalu’s endorsement by the clergy is expected to significantly boost her grassroots appeal as the race for the Kitui governorship gains momentum.
